CONDUCT GRADE
A: The basic score for the Conduct Grade is 86. Points will be deducted according to the student's accumulated hours of absence. Points will be added or deducted according to his/her merit/demerit record. If a student's Conduct Grade is under 60, the student will be forced to withdraw from the school.
A: Students can add extra points to their Conduct Grades by joining official activities on or off campus; the Department or Administrative unit will provide a list of students to be rewarded or reprimanded to the Student Advising Section so that their conduct grades can be adjusted accordingly.
A:
- Scholarship applications place high importance on the Conduct Grade.
- If a student applies to a Teacher Education Program in the future, some universities will ask for the Conduct Grade and Rewards and Punishment Record.
LEAVE APPLICATION INFORMATION
A:
- Application for one day (or less) Personal Leave and Menstrual Leave can only be made by the student themselves online within 7 days from the absence.
- Course Conflict Leave can only be processed via the ordinary leave system (only after the absence record is generated).
- For Sick Leave, Compassionate Leave, Maternity Leave, Official Leave, and Personal Leave over one day, you must register the leave online and upload supporting documents to the "E-Requests and E-Form System" within 7 days from the absence. The application will then be reviewed and approved by the Student Advising Section of Student Affairs Division, Taipei Campus (or the Student Affairs Section on Taoyuan Campus). Otherwise, it will be processed as Personal Leave. If no online leave registration is completed, it will be recorded as an unexcused absence.
A:
- Any official document that endorses your reason for the leave can serve as evidence: for example, medical statement, obituaries, Conscription Medical Examination Notice, or Male Students' Military Service Balloting Notice are all acceptable.
- Starting from 2023-24 Academic Year, leave documentation must be uploaded via the "E-Requests and E-Form System." Therefore, please use your own student account for leave applications.
A: "Absences" during an exam week shall still be processed through the "Ordinary Leave Application Procedures." No "Exam Leave" application is available in the system any more.
A:
- You should submit your leave application on the day you intend to take leave (limited to 3 days per semester; each leave application goes by days).
- No medical statement is required for the first 2 days (times) of leave. However, for the 3rd cumulative day (time) of the leave or the Mental Health Leave conflicting the day of Weekly Assembly Meeting, you must upload relevant medical documents from the medical institutions (receipts, non-handwritten medication bags, Certificate of Diagnosis, or medical certificates) to the "E-Requests and E-Form System" within 7 days from the absence.
- Students taking Mental Health Leave will not lead to the deduction of Conduct Grade but will affect their full-attendance records (eliminating the eligibility of a full-attendance honored student).
- Mental Health Leave will be included in the hours of absence.
- Mental Health Leave is not applicable during mid-term and final exams (including graduation exams).
