The new semester has begun, and we are actively promoting sustainable education and living. We hope that everyone can save energy and reduce carbon, live a subtractive life, reduce the number of unnecessary idle items, and reuse items beyond you or your family’s needs. We kindly ask all Ming Chuan people to show your benevolence and donate your any unnecessary 90% new items for charity sale. All income from the charity sale will be used to fund scholarships and assistantships for Ming Chuan University students.
There are many charity groups enthusiastically participating in this event, “-1111 Lite-On Recycled Treasure Shopping Day”, which will be held on November 2 (Saturday), from 10:00 to 16:30, on the plaza in front of the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall to promote the idea of simple life and no over-shopping. Your donation is welcome; please write a Collector’s Description (on attached form) then send the item with the form to the Extracurricular Activities Section (Student Activity Center 1F on Taipei or Gymnasium (R building) on Taoyuan, extension number 2241/3183) before October 11, 16:00. After the donated items are confirmed by the Student Affairs Division as suitable for charity sale, the donating student will receive one Recognition. Due to hygiene concerns and space limitations, please do not donate the following items to this event: bedding, plush toys, books, clothes, shoes, socks, cosmetics, perfume, etc. In addition, please confirm that the source of the item is legal before donating. Unsold items will be disposed of by the university. Everyone is welcome to take the time to visit on the plaza in front of the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall on November 2 and choose some of your favorite and needed daily items.
